Globalization

The Globalization module allows you to define the user's country and set the necessary settings (language, currency, departure airport, time zone) on the site. The currency selected by the Globalization module will be used for pricing calculations, generating letters and documents and billing payment amounts. Page with settings of this module is in administrative section: Site management→ Languages and timezones.

Setting up

Setting up is only performed by the manager of the root agency.

The module works according to the set rules. Specify the rules by which the specified settings will be applied to a user from a specified country.

If no country is specified for a rule, such a rule will work by default - applied to users in those countries for which there is no private rule.

To create a rule:

1. Click the «Create New Entry» button.
2. Fill in the parameters of the rule.
3. Click the Create New Entry button at the bottom of the page.

Parameters of the rules

User's country - the following settings will be applied for the user, logged in from the selected country (defined by IP address):

• Define buyer's airport - definition of the airport that will initially be set as the departure point, the setting can take several values:
  • Use Default Group Settings - the agency's default settings will be applied.
  • Most popular in country - the most frequently used airport in the country will be selected. If the country is not selected by IP, the initial airport will not be selected.
  • Nearest (according to user coordinates) - the nearest airport to the user will be selected (determined by IP address), if the coordinates are not set, the most popular airport in the country will be selected.
  • Selected below - this setting gives the opportunity to set the airport manually.
• Set language (default)' - language that will be used on the site for the country selected above. Browser language - means that the language used by the user's browser will be selected.
• Set currency (default) - the selected currency will be used to display prices, payment will also be made in the selected currency. Attention! The list of allowed currencies is set in System settings → Currencies and rates → Currency settings. Payment should be made in the currency specified in the settings of details of connection to GRS.
• Define buyer's time zone - time zone affects the display of some dates, for example "Pay before", the setting can take three values:
  • Use default group settings - the default agency settings will be used.
  • Define by IP - the time zone will be selected according to the user's geographical location.
  • Set as selected below - the possibility to set the time zone manually.

Payment gateway filtering

Payment gateways can't make payments in any currency, that's why you should set up filtering of the payment gateways to avoid payment errors. The setting is made in Finances → Payment Methods → Gateway Management. In the settings for filtering of the selected payment gateway, it is necessary to set the list of currencies, in the corresponding setting Permissible currency of calculations, for which this payment gateway will be displayed in the payment section.
